How Stop Smoking Hypnosis Works

When it comes to hypnosis there are many misconceptions, myths, and falsehoods that are floating around in the world, so let's take a minute and look at what hypnosis is and what it isn't. Then we can begin to see how it can help you stop smoking quickly.

The most common misconception about hypnosis is that you "lose control" of your mind or that you give it to the hypnotist. Hypnosis is about gaining control of your mind and making it do what you want it to do. Most people have no control over their smoking habit, and so hypnosis is designed to give them control. The hypnotist is only a tour guide, leading you on a journey inside your mind and pointing out some places where you could look at things differently.

That means at no time during our session will you "pass-out," "Blackout" or "Be unresponsive." You will hear and be aware of everything I say and of everything that happens around you. You will simply be more relaxed than you have ever been in your life and absorbed in the feeling of changing your mental processes from the inside out. That means, if you wanted to get up and walk out during the session, you could. (No one ever has but you could because you are in control)

So what should you expect to experience during a session?

Have you ever been totally absorbed in a good story? Then you have been in hypnosis. Hypnosis is simply a state where your attention is focused on one thing. Movies, books and a good story teller can all capture your attention in a way that focuses you on the characters life in such a way that you experience the same emotions as they do.

Hypnosis is the same.

It is a story that fixates your attention in such a way that it captures your emotions and allows you to feel differently about the things you want to change in your life.

So how does hypnosis help you stop smoking easily?

It changes the feelings and experiences you associate with cigarettes or other tobacco products. I know that sounds simple, but it is profound when you think about it. Everything we do we do because we associate it with something that we like, we need, or we want.

Think about it, when was the last time you compulsively did something you associate with pain, loss or frustration?

Do you sit in the kitchen and touch the red hot stove over and over again? No, because it hurts. If cigarettes created instant, intense pain, then you would probably quit now, but they don't. Instead, they slowly drain your life until it is too late.

Decide Who You Want To Be Now

Don't let that happen to you. Hypnosis works and makes it easy. Try it. What do you have to lose besides a habit?
